With a specialized color grading room we are able to suit all your needs for color grading/correction in both log or lin space. Monitoring is made on a calibrated broadcast monitor using LUTs so there will be no surprises, whether you need to deliver for television, dvd or printed on 35 mm film copies. What do you see is what do you get. We are able to work in all formats, from SD to HD and up to 2K.
Compositing and Special Effects
With over 20 years of experience in both features and commercial films Zitrin Film & Multimedia offers a wide range of compositing and special effects services ranging from chromakeying (green or blue screen) to complex multilayer compositing. 3d and 2d Camera and object tracking
Camera and object tracking is a powerful tool for special effects giving you the chance to add 3d objects or animations and integrate it to the footage as if were there for real. In essence it is the adding or removal of objects in a scene seamlessly.
Many times is cheaper to add or replace elements to your scene in postproduction than during the filming. Do you have an unwanted brand or object in your scene that needs removing? Do you need to add an object (ether moving or fixed) to a scene?
Psychovisual Enhancement
The sharpness of an image is defined by means of very complex relations between the different parts of the surfaces in the image. The psychovisual enhancement intends to enhance the subjective sharpness (both Luma and Chroma) without introducing artificial artifacts or noise in the image. It also focus the attention on the subject to guide the viewer eyes to the elements you want to focus on.
Compression
One important part of a high quality compression is the correct filtering of the material. Most of the actual compression algorithms analyzes the footage frame by frame searching for differences. If the image doesn't change the compressor doesn't need to add that information again to the movie. So is very easy to see that if you have noise, the compressor will have to add the whole frame again to the movie. Given that you compress to have a limited bandwith the compressor have to discard much more information so your image quality suffers.
A good filtered footage makes better images with smaller files - one that is faster to load and smoother to play on the internet.
Editing
We edit on a Final Cut Pro System running on an 8 core processor with a double RAID subsystem and a file server that can accommodate a massive amount of data. The edit is monitored on two HD monitors, via a double graphics accelerator. Audio can be recorded up to 24 channels in 24 bits at 192 Khz.
Editing
To complete your needs for special effects, or to add or erase objects from the scene or even to make that impossible take, we offer 2d and 3d animation. This combined with other techniques gives you the complete workflow for postproduction and special effects.
